Landmarks

There are numerous historical, but, above all, nature landmarks in the area. Nearby are the Kazanlak Thracian Tomb and the Tomb of King Seuthes III - The Big Kosmatka. The Byala Reka (White River) Eco-Trail is also suitable for people who have little experience in hiking or trekking. Tazha Gorge offers breathtaking views of some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bulgaria.
If during your holiday at The Klukarnika Guest House you take up just one or two of our activities, you will still be able to explore and experience the mountain and feel its untouched beauty and you will surely want to come back for more.

Botev Peak

The highest peak in Stara Planina (the Balkan Mountains), 2,376 metres, can be climbed in one day if, of course, you have some experience in mountain trekking and climbing.

Tazha Gorge

The gorge is 10 km long and its average altitude is 800 m. It starts not far from the Tazha Rest House and is entirely on the territory of the Djendema Reserve.

Byala Reka (White River) Eco-Trail

A trail with spectacular mountain scenery and an easy one – it is suitable for less experienced hikers and beginners. It is 1.83 km long and at its highest point, it is 630 metres above sea level.
